“This is now in my top ten Harvest Hosts. For $20 I got to use the pistol range (I have my own equipment, but they can rent out equipment for you if need be), get free high speed wifi and get 30 amps. Site is reasonably level with a safety light on all night. Of course, a shooting range will have guns going off during the day, but night was quiet and peaceful. Even heard some coyotes howling. Reasonable access to Van Buren and Ft. Smith. Highly recommend to anyone who shoots or wants to learn.”

We camped here for two nights as water and electric are available for a reasonable fee. Wonderful concrete pad with hookups and a small pavilion with a picnic table. Even had a catch and release fishing pond that my husband really enjoyed. Everything was wonderful. Nice hosts and very personable. Would definitely stay again.
Thor is a great place. The hosts are wonderful and gave us a couole of suggestions to dine at. We were able to make it to the Kooper Smokehouse and it was just as good as they said. The sites were concrete pads and level with available water and electric at a fee. This place is extremely safe area. There are camera that line the property which made use feel comfortable during the dark late nights. i wasnt able to us the gun range but we hope to comeback and next time i can take advantage of it.
Good communication, easy in/out, plenty of room to manuver, grassy area around the pond to walk dogs, camping area looks brand new, gazebo with picnic table and trash can. FYI the electric hook up is $35/per they are also on Campendium app for $40. Bought some targets, pepper spray ..ect. Plenty to buy and opportunities to shoot here.
Easily spent the most $ of any HH and we have been to many! lol! Took advantage of the firing range. Very nice and helpful, level pad parking, elec if needed and quiet night. Road coming in a bit rough.
Very enjoyable and I would definitely stay again. We boondocked overnight without hookups–on a clean concrete pad next to a covered picnic table. Not so primitive! It was quiet overnight as the location is quite rural, yet there were exterior lights and no prowling critters woke us. Staff were awesome and I spent an hour in the morning talking to a few of them around common sporting and professional interests. The pro shop was fascinating (at least, if you are a shooter) and there are ranges available for use for additional fees. I understand the business is still growing and I look forward to seeing it expand.
This Harvest Host business is at the top of my list for fun things to do while traveling. They have spaces for any size RV and even have power available. Beside being a full service firearms range, they also sell firearms, ammo, and related equipment and supplies. Bring your own firearm or schedule the use of one of theirs, including fully auto “machine guns.” There is even a catch and release pond available on the property. We will definitely stop here again when in this area.
Great RV parking for any size rig. Excellent WiFi and the price for full hookups is reasonable as is the day card for firing. Awesome selection of weapons to see and purchase. Extremely knowledgeable people who are excited to let you know about their products. All in all, a great stay.
We had not realized going in that they have some hookups for charge. This was very helpful as there was a frost warning that night and a heater was welcomed. They were very friendly and worked with us on some minor electric issue. We enjoyed our stay.
If you are looking for super safe, quiet place to stop, this is it. Easy route from Interstate 40, about 10-15 minutes off freeway. The staff is friendly, and knowledgeable. We arrive early enough to use the firing ranges, which are amazing. Dog friendly, plenty of space to maneuver around, and they offer electric and water hook up for small fee. Parking is on level concrete. This was the second time we stayed here, we enjoyed our first stay in May so much, deliberately made it a stop this time. Hopefully, we will see them again in December.
Great spot a few minutes off the highway. Quiet and peaceful after business hours. Power if you need it and a huge area to get your rig parked and set up. Definitely recommend
We had a very short stay but this facility was very easy to work with. We were able to arrange a late arrival and they even marked a spot with the cone. Easy access in and out and would definitely recommend again.
Very nice place to stay. Everyone was exceptionally friendly. Really enjoyed the stay.
The Hosts are nice, the complex is very well planned out. I will be stopping by the next time I am in that area.
Plenty of room to maneuver our 45ft coach and tow- but we did need to unhook. They have pads with partial H/U or gravel parking. Hollie was super helpful in directions and everyone made us feel at home when we arrived. DH had a great time target shooting with one of their rental guns and then his own. Definitely on our return to list! Thank you for having us!
A quiet and flat location. There are a couple concrete pads to park on. We were towing a car so we weren’t able to use them without unhitching. There was an grass area near the pads that was level so we used that. Thank you for your hospitality.😊
Stopped early and did some shooting with my wife. Have them bore sight a new scope on one of my rifles. Went to the 100yd range and adjusted the scope to zero. Very nice facilities. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed or stay. We’ll be back for sure. Thanks for having us.
2 Smooth and perfectly level concrete pads with electric and water. Great communication to assure availability. Purchased some range time, and had a blast! Cow pasture across the road and beautiful sunset. perfect night. Highest recommendation!
Wised this just as a one nighter stop over on a trip west. It was a great stop over, had 50A and water hookup for small fee. We will stop here again and plan for time to use their range. Support staff excellent! Highly recommend for a stopover or destination!
I wouldn’t stay here unless you r interested in shooting your gun
The office was so helpful when we were running a bit late. We called and they got us all set up for a late arrival and were so kind. The spot on the loading dock was level and clean and we loved walking around the pond with the dogs before settling in for the night. A great place to stop.
Spots were great, having electric available was a blessing in the high heats. I had a blast shooting the next morning. there was even a covered picnic area if needed.
Great spot for an overnight stop, super friendly bunch of people there at Thor. Bought a few boxes of ammo, wished we’d had more time to actually shoot. There are (2) concrete pad sites with power and water for $35 if you need, or a few spots at the loading docks where we leveled, unhooked, went into town for dinner, etc. Highly recommend, A+!!!
Can’t say enough about the staff, they were great and very accommodating. Our site was wonderful, new concrete with electric & water (optional), nice covered sitting area. Gun range will handle all kinds of weapons. If coming from the south, do not follow GPS, it leads you down a gravel road and low hanging trees, call the staff and they will glady give you much better directions. We will be staying here again.
We got here late but had called ahead and that wasn’t an issue. Nice and quiet for sleeping. The staff here is so nice! We had an excellent time shooting the fully automatic rifle as well! Super cool place!
Great stop over. It’s an outdoor range. Various areas for almost anything that shoots. People are super nice and accommodating. Both of us got to shoot for $25. We realized we had left our hearing and eye protection in storage so bought us each a new set. Will most definitely we stop back by to visit when back in the area
We called ahead of our stay as we would be arriving after dark and the person I spoke with was so friendly and gave good directions on where to park. When we arrived they had a concrete pad, well lit, with cones marked RV, made it easy to know exactly where to park! The sounds of the frogs and crickets from the pond made for a very pleasant night! We were able to use the range in the morning and had a great time! The locals were so nice and welcoming. The location is just the right distance off the beaten path to be quite and peaceful. We highly recommend staying here.
This is definitely a different twist on places to stay! A 24 hour shooting range! I wasn’t able to take advantage of the range though. The RV parking is on that big cement pad that you see in the picture. This made it nice as it was level. I was able to take my dogs for a nice walk. I called to say I wouldn’t be in until after 4:00 pm. They placed a numbered cone so that I’d know where to park. I arrived about an hour before sunset. Sunset was beautiful. My trailer was facing the pond and the sunset. I did go into their store. They have all sorts of shooting supplies and accessories. I was able to make a purchase of some items that I needed. I am hoping to make it back and use the range in the future.
Very accommodating and friendly. Easy access. Lots of parking room. I lucked out with electricity and our stay was great. Used the shooting range and received assistance from the staff on information for an old gun I have. Highly satisfied.
Very easy to get to. Nice and quiet with a large cement pad to park on. We got a tour of their facility which has a very nice shooting range. Their store was well stocked. We were the only rig there but there was room for a few more.
Slept so well! We hope to stop back in the future when more activities are available if we are in the area.
Quite, easy to get to. Great shooting park. There in the process of completing two paved RV sites with shelter! Great private fishing pond. Recommend!!
I had water and 30 amp. Wanted to buy a pistol but they didn’t have any with a laser. They were very friendly/ would stay again if passing thru this area.
EST 5:30PM , perfect communication with host !
This was a very quiet place to stay. The owners are very friendly and helpful. My husband caught two bass in the pond! We would stay here again.
Spent one night on our travels east. Nice level spot on concrete which was great because it was raining. The range was available to use for $20 and hook-ups (electric and water) came with that price. Can’t beat that.
The people who greeted us and helped us were super friendly. The spot was level with a great view of the pond and fields. They offered us 30 amp service for $20 for the night. We thought of doing the gun range, but it was out of the budget for us since we don’t have our own guns and ammo. The area is well-lit and has a surveillance camera so we felt super safe. The only reason I didn’t give five stars was because we had to unhook our tow vehicle from the motorhome to park and that’s not our preference for an overnight stay. It’s located off the big roads so it’s quiet, but easy to find. I even had a Walmart grocery order delivered while we were there.
The ranges are exceptional and the staff is friendly and helpful. We had a good time and met a few nice RVers there as well.
We were very pleased with the level parking and access to 30 amps. Jonathan was extremely helpful and made sure we were hooked up and had no problems. He also answered many questions we had concerning various gun laws in different states. The lake was pretty and I was looking forward to fishing but the weather prevented that. The only negative I saw was they did not have an indoor range which I am accustomed to. Jonathan did say they were in the process of adding an indoor range. Overall wonderful experience.
We stayed overnight here on our way to Oklahoma City from Memphis. We had lots of communication with the staff here, we were arriving late and they contacted us to give us all the details we needed. Parking was easy, nice and flat, and we had 30 amp only service which was totally fine. In the morning my son and I went to the range and shot the MP5 which was fun for him. This location was easy to get to and nice and quiet. We forgot to get the wifi password so we can’t comment on that. We recommend this place if you need a safe and quiet place to stay for the night.
Love this HH! But be warned Google from the West will take you a few places you shouldn’t go… one is 65 to 59 which has warnings stopping travel trailers and big trucks, Sunnyvale has a bridge near 65 that has a 10 Ton limit. Shibley rd. will take you high center on a rail road track so Exit Pleasant Ridge Rd to Industrial …be warned the road right before it is also called Pleasant Ridge Ln and it’s a dead end. We took all of these roads. Now our spot was level as the one next to us and gravel and concrete, several other spots are grass and don’t look as level. People are super nice and require check in inside. Call when you arrive so they can come out and direct you to a location. Slide outs are allowed and they may have a spot with 30 amp as it was offered to us. There was a huge rig next to us with a Jeep in tow so any size rig can use this HH. We had a pond to look at outside our window with geese. The shooting range is out doors so the cold kept us from enjoying it. The city here has 6 blocks of old Main Street, suggest you spend 2 days to enjoy it all. They allow extra days here. Special thanks to Thor for offering these sights!
Enjoyed your place, thanks for the fishing pond. We felt very welcome by the nice lady we met on the way in.
We had a lovely time here, we were helped to use one of the guns in the range. The staff was so nice. The spot was lovely. Would definitely stay again!
This is now in my top ten Harvest Hosts. Smith. Highly recommend to anyone who shoots or wants to learn.
We got here early in the day hoping to get some shooting in but it was just to cold outside to be enjoyable. This is a great stop and the staff was so friendly and helpful. They showed me a gun that i can easily pull the slide back on but unfortunately its not legal for California so it is on my list when i move to Tennesee. Dog friendly, easy access and great parking by the pond. Will be back.
So glad we stopped here. The spot was mostly level and we ran a long extension cord just to keep the lights on. We shot a bit the next day but after two misfires Andrew the range supervisor decided to figure out why. He was very helpful explaining what the issue was and was kind to my kids as well. If you like to shoot this is a great stop.
We stayed at Thor HH location with our 2 dogs and it was great! There was a pond right across from where we parked our RV so our dogs got to sniff around for frogs and wade in the pond. It’s a catch and release so if you like to fish and shoot, this place is for you. Brought our new guns and did some target shooting. The staff was great and explained everything. They are adding additional RV concrete pads so it will be even nicer soon!
What a great HH location! The staff was super friendly. We got a nice tour of the facility from Jayce. We bought some ammo and went shooting! We camped in the back area with a view of the lake. We had electricity and the sound of cows occasionally. It was very quiet. We will be back!
We stayed October 12th 2021 ,parked on the loading dock it was level .Everyone very nice my husbad went and took a class from Andrew it was great . A very quiet place to overnight.
Spent two nights by the fishing pond. Staff were all very helpful.
The ranges are very nice they are all outdoors. Because of the rain it limited our shooting time. Jonathan, Skylee and Gretchen were all super. We will stay again Thank you all!
If you plan to stay here you need to bring your protection gear and your own gun and ammo. Hand guns can be rented. However, it will be more expensive. I strongly suggest management NOT be represented by Andrew, as he lacks customer service skills. As women RVers we were extremely happy to have Kim coach us on basic shooting skills. She was extremely informative and customer savvy. I highly recommend this location for gun training and HH overnighting. They are currently completing pads and full hookups for future RVers.
My wife and I stayed overnight on our way west. Beautiful location and very helpful and friendly staff. A great place to stay. Thanks
What a great stop on our way back home! The site is level, next to a pond and very quiet. The employees were very accommodating and they even had a 30amp hookup we were able to use! This was our first Harvest Host experience and it was awesome! Definitely go check it out!!
Super people very helpful
Used the VIP range at night no charge. Good parking and electric, watched the mom duck and her babies just showing off in the pond.
If I’m ever back that way you know I’m stopping there.
Had a great time at Thor. Jonathan was very nice to talk with and very accommodating. They have a lot of different plans in the works, like cabins and full hookups among other things, that I look forward to using in the future. I recommend this highly if you are looking for something a bit different for a stay!
We had a great stay here. My husband got to shoot his new gun for the first time. The employees were extremely friendly and helpful. We hooked up to the electric (30 amp)and parked beside the dock, on the grass, 45'. Easy parking. Thank you, Thor.
Great harvest host location. We will be back. Great hosts. We used full hookups, parked at dock. We enjoyed the shooting ranges, my husband thought it was the absolutely best camping day he’s ever had.
What a great place. Big pond, our Aussie wanted to swim. Hosts are great. We were able to use their electric, $20.00, a bargain, our AC thanks them more than you know. Great place to get guns and accessories. We will see them again on our way back home.
Nice spot to camp. Plenty of room.
We really enjoyed the range. I felt very comfortable there and Jonathan was very helpful to me since I’m a beginner.
My husband shot the rifle and enjoyed it. Though ammo is low (as it is everywhere) for that right now so be aware you may not get to shoot the one you want.
Definitely recommend this place even if you don’t want to shoot.
We weren’t here long enough to utilize the firing range, but it was a great place to stop for the night. We parked on a very level concrete area overlooking the pond and the cow field. Very peaceful evening and a good night’s sleep!
Nice place to stop for the night. Jonathan was very nice, friendly and helpful. We got in just before closing time and had no ammo do couldn’t shoot but it looks like an awesome place to spend a few hours blowing stuff up. Would definitely recommend this stop for anyone who loves to shoot for recreation. Or those who just need a nice place to stop for the evening.
Awesome stay – Jonathan was very helpful – pulled in parked (we took some power – they have 30A available) and then went shooting and fishing – then watched the sunset over the beautiful Arkansas scenery.
Very nice place with great, friendly people. Highly recommend it.
What a cool place! They have numerous ranges for various purposes. All I brought with me on our trip was a couple of handguns, andfor $75 the kids and I had full access to the facility for the afternoon. We even did some night shooting on their lit range after they closed. Fantastic!
If guns aren’t your thing, this is still a nice harvest host, with a level pad to park on. If you want electric, you can set up inside the gate. They charge for the use of electric unless you opt to shoot like we did, in which case it’s included. Plenty of room and hospitality!
This was a great Harvest Host location! They were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We were able to park our rig on their concrete loading dock right next to the catch and release pond. The grounds were beautiful. The kids had fun fishing and running around the grass. We learned some gun safety and were ableto do some target shooting. We were even offered the chance to shoot some of the employee's personal firearms since we came unprepared. We would definitely stay here again if we are back in the area. Thank you for the great time!
If you like to shoot, this is a must stay. Also very nice, level parking and quiet at night. bring your own ammo (April 2021), just like everyone, they are out. Loved it and will be back next time we come thru.
What a place. If you are a firearms enthusiast i’s a great place to stop. They have a concrete pad at their loading area.
