1. During all business hours, the Range Officer shall be in complete charge of the range.
2. All children and guest must be supervised by a club member, whom shall be responsible for their actions.
3. Shoot only on designated ranges. All rounds must hit the designated impact area.
4. Do not set objects on top of targets to shoot at.
5. Never shoot targets on the ground!
6. Absolutely NO GLASS shall be used as targets.
7. No shooting of steel targets within 20 yards of shooter and steel target must be 3 feet off the ground.
8. Do not leave loaded weapons unattended.
9. Speed limit is 5 mph.
10. Park only in parking areas.
11. Fire only when all persons are behind the firing line and safe conditions exist.
12. Always keep firearms pointed in a safe direction.
13. Always keep your finger off the trigger and outside the trigger guard until ready to fire.
14. Always keep the action open and firearm unloaded, with magazines removed, until ready to fire.
15. Use only official targets properly placed in front of the backstop.
16. Be sure the firearm is safe to operate.
17. Know and understand the operating mechanism and safety features of your firearm.
18. Use only the correct ammunition for your firearm.
19. Use only approved ammunition. Reloads are not permitted on the range due to possible safety issues.
20. Ammunition must be verified with the range safety officer prior to use.
21. All firearms that are not holstered must be in an unloaded condition while going to or from the range.
22. If you have brought more than one firearm, use only one at a time and when finished, case the unloaded firearm and it’s ammunition before uncasing the next one.
23. Eye and ear protection is mandatory before entering the shooting range and while on the shooting range.
24. Never handle firearms behind the firing line.
25. Upon the command “CEASE FIRE” stop all shooting immediately, put down your firearm and back away from the firing line. Shooters may not re-approach the firing line or pick up their firearms until an “ALL CLEAR” signal is given.
26. Never use alcohol or drugs before or while shooting.
27. Smoking is allowed only in designated areas.
28. Shooters may collect their brass behind the firing line once they have unloaded and cased their firearm and are ready to leave the range.
29. Act responsibly at all times.
30. If you observe an unsafe condition, report it to a range officer immediately.
31. Any member will be subject to expulsion if they or their guest do not abide by these rules.
32. A range officer must be present whenever a member is shooting. There will be only one Range Officer in charge on the shooting range. All other members must abide by his/her decision. All members must have their membership card / range certification on their person and in open view while shooting on the outdoor range. If said member is not range certified, they must still wear their membership card in open view and be in the presence of a member who is range certified. A plastic card holder for this purpose will be provided by the club at no charge.
33. A Junior member under 14 years of age, may shoot a handgun on the outdoor range while accompanied by and under the constant supervision of a member parent or legal guardian. Only one handgun at a time may be fired between the Junior member and the parent or legal guardian. The Junior member and the parent/guardian may not shoot simultaneously.
34. A Junior member, 15 years of age or older, may shoot a handgun on the outdoor range simultaneously with a member parent/guardian upon completion of the range safety course.
